A Quick Overview of Google AdSense
Google AdSense is a way to monitize your website, or earn
extra money through the syndication of Google AdWords.
In the Google SERP's (search engine result pages) AdWords,
are advertisers' links that show up when someone types a
certain keyword to Google search engine's box and enters
it. These links can be found at the very top and on right
hand side of the results page.
With Google AdSense, the advertisers'
links show up on your page if the content
of the page is a match for those ads. If a site's content
is about Internet Marketing, the ads that appear are related
to Internet Marketing.
If your site's is about "making money
online" and you
sign up for Google AdSense, then Google will decide that
the proper ads for your page are about "making money opportunity".
Google applies its Page Ranking
technology amoung other criteria to deciede which ads should
be shown, which is called content-targeting.
When a visitor to your site clicks on one of the Google
AdSense ads displayed on your website, your share is a percentage of the cost
paid by the advertiser to Google? How much? Google doesn't say, but my account rep states it is a "sliding scale" meaning, the more you make, the more percentage you get.
So, if you have a quality content site,
signing up for Google AdSense could be profitable for you.
When you sign up as an advertiser for Google AdSense, Google
will give you a code and all you have to do is just paste
the code to your HTML page, you decide the location and settings.
Everytime your visitors click on the ads, Google will
charge the advertisers for the clicks and share them with
you.
